Eco-committee update and assembly

This week Eco Committee put on a fantastic assembly for the rest of the school, sharing with them all the news about our crisp recycling scheme, and reminding everyone to use the correct recycling bins around the school.

Eco also explained that they have a lunchtime rota for sorting crisp packets, and are receiving 1p per bag after the first 2kg every time we send a box off to TerraCycle.

They were also very excited to announce that Sally Holland, Children’s Commissioner for Wales, and one of the participation workers from her team will be visiting the school on Wednesday 13th May. They will be coming to meet with Eco Committee and School Council and also coming to see all of our exciting outdoor learning.

And finally, some of the committee carried out a spot check on the bins in some of the classrooms. They are looking forward to sharing the results with the rest of the school soon!
