Bore da Caterpillars and families. The Nursery Team hope you are all safe and well. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to you and your families last week. Hearing your voices put a huge smile on my face and made me very emotional as we all miss seeing you all. I spoke to Miss May and Mrs Allen and told them all about what you have been up to and they miss you very much too.

Here are some ideas 💡 to support your Read Write Inc Phonics:
- Play I spy around your home and garden. Can you spot things that start with the sound?
- Practice writing the sounds with a paintbrush and water on your patio/path.

When teaching your child to say the sounds, its important to say the pure sounds. This means we say mmmmm not muh and lllll not luh. (A slight uh cannot be helped when saying the sounds b d g j w y). How to say the sounds follow this link.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkXcabDUg7Q
I love this story! Farmer Duck isn’t your average duck. This duck cooks and cleans, tends the fields, and cares for the other animals on the farm—all because the owner of the farm is too lazy to do these things himself. But when Farmer Duck finally collapses from exhaustion, the farmyard animals come to the rescue with a simple but heroic plan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gug6P8l1q6c If you have the book at home you can listen to the CBeebies podcast too https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/radio/story-time-farmer-duck

I hope you have lots of fun with this week’s suggested activities. I would love to see some photographs and messages of what you have been up to. You can email them to the main school email address and just add FAO Mts Williams, then they will be forwarded on to me. I can’t wait to see your work. It was lovely to speak to lots of you last week and I even called in to some children’s homes to say hello and you even met my dog! Some have learnt to ride bikes with stabilisers, swung from rope swings in the woods, had new puppies, scooted super fast and I know you’ve continued to practice your numbers and sounds too. A super thumbs up kind of week from me.
Take care, stay safe and I can’t wait to see you soon.
Love Mrs Williams 😀☕️🏉🐶
