Caterpillars Class Update – The Very Lonely Firefly
Tagged Tags: ,

Our class story over the next couple of weeks is ‘The Very Lonely Firefly’ by Eric Carle. Here is the link to the story We have had great fun with lots of activities linked to this story.

Our Science Investigation

We have been working collaboratively with a partner, sorting together our Light Investigation. We had to sort everyday objects asking the questions – ‘What is a light source?’ and ‘What isn’t a light source?’ We recalled light sources from the story to help support our learning.

Wellbeing Wednesday

We linked the story with ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’. Our Outdoor Learning encompassed ‘Firefly Yoga’. It was so much fun – we didn’t stop laughing, which was tricky when we had to concentrate on our breathing :o). We all think Miss May had the most fun though, even though we tired her out!

Exploring light and colour

We hope you have enjoyed a glimpse of activities your child is involved with in the Caterpillars Class. Looking forward to next weeks activities around our story ‘The Very Lonely Firefly’. Here are a couple of links to activities you can access to compliment your child’s learning.
